NB&T History

National Bank and Trust (a wholly owned subsidiary of NB&T Financial Group, Inc.) was founded in 1859 as a private banking company and chartered as a national bank in 1872. National Bank and Trust offers a broad range of financial services through its 23 locations in Southwest Ohio and one in Northeast Ohio (Parma).

As of December 31, 2009, National Bank and Trust acquired Community National Bank headquartered in Franklin, OH. The addition of Community National Bank has provided National Bank and Trust an expanded presence with new banking offices located in Carlisle, Centerville, Franklin and Springboro. In March of 2010, National Bank and Trust acquired the business of American National Bank and its single office located in Parma, Ohio. With the addition of these branch offices, NB&T owns and operates 23 total banking offices throughout Southwest and Northeast Ohio.
