National Bank and Trust (a wholly owned subsidiary of NB&T Financial Group, Inc.) was founded in 1859 as a private banking company and chartered as a National bank in 1872. National Bank and Trust offers a broad range of financial services through its 19 locations in Ohio.

The Bank has nearly quadrupled its assets over the last ten years, and continues to look for expansion opportunities. In 1998 the bank entered the insurance industry with the acquisition of Phillips Insurance Agency, which has since been renamed to NB&T Insurance Agency.
